240 Roystonhill was a 25 storey tower block in the Roystonhill estate in Royston, Glasgow. Approved in 1969 as the 'Millburn Street' project, it joined three other tower blocks that were built two years previously. Construction was carried out by Reema Scotland. On Sunday 14th June 1992, after falling demand, it became the second high rise tower block in the city to be demolished. For 19 years and 362 days, it was the tallest tower block in the UK to be demolished, up until the demolition of the Red Road flats.
