The Barbot Street Estate was a high rise housing scheme in Enfield, North London. It was approved over two stages in 1966/67 and was completed in 1969 by DL. It consisted of four 23 storey tower blocks.
The estate has since been demolished. The demolition was carried out by Demo One. There were protests over the demolition, which the residents thought were dangerous as the clouds of dust were to contain asbestos. They were particularly alarmed by a proposal to bring a concrete crusher on site, which they argued would make the dust emissions much worse than removal of concrete slabs intact.
