Homethorope (November 2011), Kinthorpe tower block on the horizon to the east.

Bridgeman House (aka Homethorpe) was a 18 storey 104 flat, tower block on the Orchard Park Estate in North Hull.

The block was once in a cluster of 3, but has stood alone since nearby Vernon House was demolished in 2004; its other neighbour Drake House was demolished in 2002.

The block had been earmarked for demolition since 2009, however, following Labours' local election victory in May 2011 it won a short reprieve along with the other 6 remaining tower blocks on Orchard Park Estate, when Hull City Council decided not to demolish all the remaining tower blocks on the estate.

Following a further review, Homethorpe, along with Mildane and Ashthorpe was selected for demolition in 2012 and 2013, with Homethorpe being the first to be blown down over the summer of 2012, and was eventually brought down by controlled explosion on the 29th July 2012.
