Concorde Tower from Castle Bromwich

Concorde Tower viewed from Castle Bromwich late 1960s.

Concorde Tower was a 20 storey tower block on Hawker Drive of the Castle Vale estate in Birmingham, England. Plans for the block were approved in 1966 and it was completed in 1968 by Stubbings using the Bison construction technique. Upon completion it became the tallest tower block on the estate at 57 metres in height, with 116 flats.

The block was demolished in 2000 under the Castle Vale Housing Action Trust regeneration scheme.
