Courthope House

Courthope House is a 6 storey tower block on Lower Road in the Rotherhithe area of Southwark, London. The block, built in the late 1950s, contains 24 maisonettes. It is named after Thomas Courthope, a Rotherhithe shipbuilder who, in 1816, started the first regular river steam service between London and Margate.

The block was constructed from brick with balconies on the west side, overlooking Lower Road. A modern refurbishment saw the addition of a curved roof to the building.
