Cowcaddens is a district in north central Glasgow. It is bordered to the east by Townhead, to the south by Garnethill and the city centre and to the west by Woodlands. Maryhill and Port Dundas lies to the north.
It was one of over 30 Comprehensive Development Areas in the city earmarked for total redevelopment. This resulted in the old community of Cowcaddens being razed to the ground and replaced by offices, Glasgow Caledonian University, Stow College and a high rise estate at Dundasvale Court.
