Dovey Tower is a 16 storey tower block on Duddeston Manor Road in the Duddeston Manor Estate. It is situated in the Nechells Green complex of Aston, Birmingham. Plans for the block were approved in 1964 and it was completed in 1967 by Stubbings using the Bison construction method. It is 47 metres tall and contains 92 flats. It is named after the River Dovey (River Dyfi in Welsh) in Wales. Before it was refurbished it was similar in appearance to those elsewhere across Aston, Bromford and Castle Vale.
The Duddeston Manor Estate was one of four that made up the Nechells Green / Duddeston complex of 27 tower blocks and part of the 67 council-owned tower blocks in Aston. Along with the Cromwell Street Estate it underwent refurbishment in the 1990s while the other 2 estates (Kellett Road Estate & Rupert Street Estate) were completely cleared to make way for new low-rise housing.
The only tower block to be demolished on the Duddeston Manor Estate was Churchfield House.
