The Freemasons Estate in Newham, East London, consisted of nine 23 storey tower blocks. One of them, Ronan Point, was damaged in a gas explosion on May 16, 1968. By 1986 all nine blocks were demolished.

Tower blocksEdit

The first five tower blocks (Abrahams, Ault, Baulkham, Dobson, Ronan) were built in 1968, and the other four (Gannon, Hume, John Sopp, Merrit) in 1970.
