Greenfield is a housing scheme in Shettleston in the east end of Glasgow. It is bordered to the east by Springboig, the west by Carntyne, the south by Shettleston and north by Cranhill. It was built in the 1960s and is a quiet suburb despite being in a relatively troubled area. Housing is a mixture of pebbledashed terraces, maisonettes and tenements. At the centre of the estate is a large park.
In Greenfield, there are a number of 'prefabs' assembled in the aftermath of the war still surviving in their original state although the Glasgow Housing Association plan to refurbish them with higher grade materials. The area is prone to flooding and after a series of rainy days in 2002, much of the southern part of Greenfield was underwater.
