Kinning Park is a residential district in the south side of Glasgow. It is one of the oldest areas in the city and lies on the south bank of the Clyde between Govan, Pollokshields and the Gorbals. Many of the Victorian tenements along Paisley Road West have been preserved although many others away from this central artery were demolished in teh 20th century to make way for new tenement housing. Since the 1980s, even more new housing has been built like the new mid rise flats Mavisbank Gardens and low rise homes.
