Shortroods is a fairly dense housing estate within the wider St James estate in the north of Paisley, near Glasgow. It lies between Ferguslie Park, Gockston, Gallowhill and Paisley Town Centre.
Housing is dominated by a maisonette complex around St James Park. Cottage flats built in the 1930s and tenements from the early 20th century are also in Shortroods.
There are also Victorian tenements which were refurbished from August 1996 to June 2002 as well as cottage flats and semi detached properties.
