- For the estate in London, see St George's Estate.
St Georges is a council estate containing 9 tower blocks (originally 10 before redevelopment) on the southern edge of Newtown, Aston, just north of Birmingham city centre. It contains 5 tower blocks that were approved in 1961 and 1963 for New John Street. Another 4 tower blocks were also built on the estate on Great Hampton Street. Along with one further tower block on Unett Street / Well Street / Great King Street.
St Georges makes up part of the Newtown complex of (originally) 29 tower blocks, which in turn formed part of the 73 tower blocks in Aston. The area underwent huge redevelopment towards the end of the 1990's and also early 2000's with many towers being cleared and replaced by new low-rise housing and community facilities.
