Demolition of the flats
Sussex Court was one of 2 tower blocks that stood in the Hendon area of Sunderland. The blocks were 11 storeys high, and were collectively known as the Coronation Street Development.
Sussex Court was approved along with its sister block Borough Court in 1961, and was a slab type block. Both blocks were demolished in the late 1980s.
