Woodlands is an area in the west end of Glasgow. It is bordered to the west by Hillhead and Kelvingrove Park, to the north lies North Kelvinside and St George's Cross, to the east lies Cowcaddens and to the south is Charing Cross. It contains some of the best preserved Victorian tenements in the city and the unique Park Circus is arguably a very early example of an organised housing estate.

The area was threatened by Comprehensive Development Area status in the 1950s through to the 1970s. This would have seen Woodlands transformed into a mid rise housing scheme similar to Hutchesontown Area E. However, the decision was made that the tenements should be kept and refurbished rather than full scale demolition and today, Woodlands is now one of the most prosperous areas in the city.
